Sanyo has introduced a revolutionary projection technology with the PLC-XL50 ultra-short focus projector that allows projection in a number of positions and on a number of untraditional surfaces.

The Sanyo PLC-XL50 LCD Projector is the world’s shortest throw distance LCD projector that can be used to view an image on the same wall on which the projector is mounted. This allows a presenter to continue to walk from side to side of the image without being blinded by the light from the projector without casting long shadows on the image. The projector can be used to create an 80-inch projection from only 3 inches due to its large diameter aspheric lens and high precision mirror technology.

The projector can be installed on the floor, table or a wall; and because of this the projector can be used for a diverse range of applications, particularly education and entertainment. The device also turns on automatically when the power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet. With the Easy-Off function, it's possible to unplug the power cord without waiting for the machine to cool down. The unit is outfitted with a built-in, vibration sensor alert. An alarm sounds when the unit is picked up, proving to be an effective theft deterrent.
