Toshiba America has introduced the Strata CIX1200 VoIP business communication system that is designed for 200 to 1,000 users.
With support for up to 1,152 ports, the phone system delivers networked applications for as many as 128 sites. This system offers almost double the port capacity of the companys Strata CIX670 system, and can be customized using its FeatureFlex adaptability tool.
Strata CIX1200 is compatible with Toshibas IP and digital telephones, including Toshibas new IP5000 IP telephones, attendant consoles, soft phone and third-party SIP telephones. Moreover, this VoIP phone system can be TDM-enabled which gives users a choice of running a pure IP system or a mix of IP and digital TDM.

The e Health Insider reports that the Whiston Hospital is now using whiteboards in the training accorded to medical students and staff.
